My kids want to ski in the snowpark – help!
Kids in the snowpark. Since ‘slopestyle’ was added to the 2014 Winter Olympic freestyle events in Sochi, the buzz from freestyle and park riding has reached much wider audiences. The new snow that came to Verbier allowed the park crew to build a snowpark using boxes, rails and beginner sized jumps for all the skiers and snowboarders to rip around on. There are still a lot of exposed rocks and large cliffs in the off-piste areas so the snowpark has been noticeably busier than usual, with all the keen freestylers practicing their tricks and having way too much fun! Ski Instructor Training
Last season Beci an experienced ES instructor and photographer headed out with some of the girls training with Emma Cairns to shoot a Verbier staff training session in April. Here are some of her photo’s. At ES we do a lot of ski instructor training, we find it helps attract the best instructors who are passionate about skiing at the top of their game.

Indoor Sky Diving Near Verbier
Verbier Ski School Operations Head Rachel Tugwell Went to check out Sion’s new Realfly facility.
At the start of this summer i was fortunate to experience Realfly in Sion. REALFLY is the first indoor skydiving simulator in Switzerland. The building reaches a height of 24 meters, and another 7 metres underground giving around 30 metres of air circuits.
I had a professionally trained instructor called Mathieu who accompanied me throughout the equipment phase, during my flight, as well as for my post flight debrief. He gave me great support during my first free fall session… Which was such a fantastic sensation!
The concept is based on a blowing system installed in a tunnel that recreates the real thrill of free-fall allowing you to discover the sensations similar to those of a parachute jump. It was absolutely amazing and i would recommend it to anyone who is even just the slightest bit interested. They will even take children from 5 years old so its a great activity for the whole family. Go any try it for yourself…”
More photo’s soon
