In the heart of the French Alps, a group of passionate and advanced skiers set out on an adventure. They were undertaking a bespoke ski safari designed specifically for them. This wasn’t your typical ski holiday. It was a carefully curated journey that blended high-end hospitality with thrilling off-piste experiences and expert ski guidance. The result? An unforgettable nine-day expedition that combined luxury, convenience, and unrivalled alpine adventure.

The Concept: Beyond the Traditional Ski Safari
The classic Ski Safari provided the inspiration for this bespoke trip. The party leader told us what they were looking for; the resorts, the activities, the feel. Our team were then able to re-imagine the classic Ski Safari according to their wishes. The guests were not only looking to polish their skiing skills but also to explore challenging off-piste routes and ski touring. They specified including two iconic alpine experiences. The first: the legendary Vallée Blanche in Chamonix. The second: the adventurous Route Tarentaise from Val D’Isère. For the party, this elevated the trip from a standard resort visit to an immersive and dynamic journey for advanced skiers. Every element, from the transfers to the world-class five-star accommodations, was designed to offer an unparalleled, high-end experience.
Meticulous Planning and Seamless Logistics
Every great adventure begins with meticulous planning. The initial strategy was to reflect the traditional ski safari model while infusing it with new, tailor-made elements. The party decided to remove a stop at Zermatt to better concentrate on three primary resorts. They absolutely wanted to include Chamonix, Val d’Isère, and Courchevel. By having most days start and conclude in the same location, the party achieved their goals of minimal transit hassle and maximum skiing time.
Luxury was a consistent theme throughout the itinerary. The party checked in to five-star accommodation at every stop. They started with the charm of Hameau Albert 1er in Chamonix. Next stop was the contemporary elegance of K2 Chogori in Val d’Isère. Finally, they stayed in the incredible on piste location of the Alpes Hotel Du Pralong in Courchevel 1850. Our team designed this blend of modernity and tradition in lodging to provide a range of experiences for the party and highlight the strengths of each resort.

Day-by-Day Bespoke Ski Safari Itinerary
The party packed every day of their bespoke ski safari with activity and carefully curated experiences that balanced adventure with ample opportunities for relaxation and gourmet dining. Here’s a detailed look at how their nine-day journey unfolded.
Day 1 – 8 March 2025: Arrival and Transfer to Chamonix
The adventure kicked off with the group landing at Geneva Airport. Flight delays for some members of the party meant that we needed to respond quickly. Everyone reached resort as smoothly as possible, together with their luggage, after some changes to the original transfer plans. The transfer from Geneva to Chamonix is a scenic 90-minute drive along Lac Leman. Already, you have an introduction to the breathtaking Alpine scenery of the Swiss and French Alps. The day concluded with check-in and a restful night at the luxurious Le Hameau Albert 1er, setting the tone for the days ahead.
Day 2 – 9 March 2025: A Day on Chamonix’s Slopes
After a hearty breakfast at the five-star hotel (with taxes included), guests prepared for their first full day of skiing. The party were accompanied to rent their equipment, and met their team of expert instructors. The instructors provided personalized recommendations for exploring Chamonix’s diverse slopes. The party had access to extensive ski areas, thanks to the Mont Blanc unlimited pass. To cap off the experience, the group dined at a traditional restaurant conveniently located in their hotel —La Maison Carrier. There they enjoyed authentic local dishes that perfectly matched the day’s excitement, before returning to their rooms.

Day 3 – 10 March 2025: The Allure of Vallée Blanche and Transition to Val d’Isère
The third day was one of the most anticipated stages: skiing the iconic Vallée Blanche under the guidance of experienced Mountain Guides. Depending on snow conditions, this descent through breathtaking scenery provided both a physical challenge and a visual feast. With the Mont Blanc unlimited pass still in hand, participants experienced the freedom and thrill of alpine skiing at its finest. In the afternoon, a minibus transfer—including luggage transportation—shuttled the group to Val d’Isère, where a new level of sophistication awaited at the five-star K2 Chogori hotel. Breakfast and all service taxes continued to be covered, ensuring a stress-free experience.

Day 4 – 11 March 2025: Mastering the Slopes of Val d’Isère
The fourth day centered on Val d’Isère, where the day’s activities were once again conducted with the expert guidance of professional instructors. With a lift pass for Val d’Isère and Tignes included, guests had full access to the resort’s myriad trails and slopes. Midday, the itinerary featured lunch at a famous panoramic restaurant, allowing participants to indulge their senses with both exceptional cuisine and awe-inspiring mountain views. The day ended with a comfortable return to K2 Chogori, where top-tier service and elegant surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for evening relaxation.
Day 5 – 12 March 2025: The Thrill of the Route Tarentaise
For the most adventurous skiers, the highlight of the safari was the exploration of the Route Tarentaise—a day designed specially for them. On this day, the group ventured across several ski areas including Val d’Isère, Tignes, Champagny, La Plagne, and Les Arcs, with each lift pass seamlessly integrated into the package. This multi-resort experience offered a variety of slopes and challenges, making it a true test for even the most seasoned skiers. At the end of the day, a transfer facilitated the move from the Route Tarentaise end point, ensuring that the guests could continue their journey in style. The party spent the night back at K2 Chogori, maintaining continuity in the luxurious experience.
Day 6 – 13 March 2025: Transitioning to Courchevel
The sixth day brought another chance to enjoy the slopes at Val d’Isère with guided sessions tailored to each individual’s pace and style. With the resort’s lift pass included once more, guests squeezed every moment of adrenaline and mastery from their ski runs. As the day drew to a close, the logistics team moved the party, and their luggage, from Val d’Isère to Courchevel. Upon arrival in Courchevel 1850, participants checked into the Alpes Hotel du Pralong on the pistes, providing a restorative environment for the evening.

Day 7 – 14 March 2025: Conquering the 3 Vallees
Day seven was all about the 3 Vallees—one of the largest and most acclaimed ski domains in the world. With personalized instruction, the group tackled diverse runs within this vast playground. The 3 Vallees lift passes, included in the itinerary, afforded unrestricted access to a vast network of slopes, ensuring that every turn revealed a new panorama. Later in the evening, a specially recommended restaurant hosted a gourmet dinner that perfectly encapsulated the blend of authenticity and indulgence that characterized the safari. The return to Alpes Hotel du Pralong capped off a day that was as much about culinary delight as it was about exhilarating sport.
Day 8 – 15 March 2025: Final Runs and Strategic Transfers
The party spent the penultimate day focused on maximising the skiing experience on the legendary 3 Vallees. With the instructors’ expert advice, the group embarked on another day of guided skiing, refining techniques and chasing the perfect run. As the day unfolded, some of the group received a transfer to the airport, while others continued to revel in the luxurious setting of Courchevel. The continuity of five-star service was maintained with breakfast and taxes included, ensuring every guest experienced the utmost in convenience and comfort.
