Kids ski lessons
Small group lessons for ages 3-5, 6-12 and teenagers
As a parent you can’t wait to be skiing around the mountains as a family, sharing your love of skiing with your little ones. The main aim of kids’ ski lessons is ski techniques, to help improve their skiing, but they will also learn the basics of ski safety, mountain awareness and how to carry their own equipment (as who wants to be carrying three sets of skis and poles with your children tottering after you?)
With ES you don’t just get a ski instructor, you get a friend, someone you can trust and look up to, and as a parent you can feel at ease knowing that your children are learning the best they can in the most fun and safe environment. You can go off and ski the runs you want to ski knowing that one day you will be able to ski it all with your children.
ES Penguins - ski lessons for ages 3-5
ES Penguins provides a fun and safe learning and playing on-snow environment for children aged 3 to 5 years. We help your children to get moving on the snow in a caring atmosphere, with lots of games, songs, and fun. We have our smallest group size for Penguins, with a maximum of JUST 4 in a group ( New 2018/19).
All our Penguins instructors are experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers, who love working with, and motivating, young children.
All Penguins are awarded a medal, certificate and goody bag at prize giving at the end of their time with us.
All the children are provided with a bright readily identifiable bib. Helmets are compulsory.
Penguins Afternoon Club is a collaboration between ES and Petit Verbier nannies enabling our smaller clients to enjoy a full day of skiing and play, so that parents can maximize their time on the slopes. Petit Verbier provide a structured programme for the afternoon session, running straight after skiing from 12.30-4pm. It includes lunch and daily set activities in both an indoor and outdoor setting which encourage learning and creativity.
Each weekday will provide a different structured activity including kids’ yoga, music time, arts and crafts, and theme days. These activities are run by Petit Verbier nannies who are fully insured, first aid trained, reference checked, police checked, highly experienced, and, of course, love caring for children.
ES Kids Academy - ski lessons for ages 6-12
ES Kids Academy
Children aged 6 to 12 have fun learning to ski with our experienced ES instructors in small groups of no more than 6. Kids Academy offers a great alternative to private lessons, connecting your children with other children at their ski level on the mountain. They ski and play onslope games with their new friends in a safe environment, with brightly coloured bibs for all children. The week ends with an awards ceremony with medals, certificates, and a goody bag for everybody.
Focus on ski improvement is encouraged by our ES Kids Academy levels. We keep a note of the level awarded for the next time your child skis with us so they can join the correct level group from the start of the first morning.
The flexibility offered by Kids’ Academy is brilliant – it is possible to attend half or full days, and a convivial lunch with other Academy skiers in a mountain restaurant is included in full days.
Helmets are compulsory!
ES Freeski - ski lessons for teenagers
ES Freeski is designed to build on skills gained in conventional ski school lessons and for having fun learning how to make the most out of new terrain.
Learn to master moguls, tackle jumps, rails, and boxes in the ski park, and hit the powder. Time spent with ES Freeski opens up the whole mountain for you to enjoy with like-minded skiers.
Safety is a key concern and each skier receives individual coaching in a small group; there is no compulsion to attempt anything, and no peer pressure. The coach teaches safely, responsibly, and in a way that builds confidence and technique in a controlled fashion.
Each week ends with an awards ceremony, and our Freeski teens are each given a medal and certificate.
Helmets are compulsory!
Flaik GPS Tracking
European Snowsport is proud to be the only provider of the Flaik GPS tracking system in Switzerland.
Because of the transmission risk involved in using GPS trackers, our use of trackers has been suspended until it can be resumed safely.
