How Felix Stays Winter-Ready All Summer
Hi, Felix here — making the most of the Swedish summer and those endless bright nights up north. In summer I train outdoors and improve strength and balance ready for winter!
Right now, I’m splitting my time between Stockholm and Nice, enjoying two very different but equally amazing places for sports, outdoor life, and adventure.
Building the Base for Winter

Summer is all about building a strong base for winter, so I spend a lot of time on my bike — whether that’s riding through Stockholm or along the French Riviera — training endurance and leg strength for the ski season ahead.
Wind, Waves and Balance

When I’m not cycling, you’ll probably find me kitesurfing somewhere along the Swedish coast, chasing wind, waves, and good vibes. It’s one of my favourite ways to train balance, coordination, and focus — while having a great time outdoors.

If there’s no wind, I’m usually climbing around Stockholm, building strength, confidence, and body control.
A Summer Between Stockholm and Nice

Alongside training and spending time with friends, I stay busy with work throughout the summer. In Nice, I work as a Residence Manager for EF, helping international students have a great experience while living and studying abroad.
Back home in Stockholm, I work as a tree worker, spending my days outdoors taking care of trees and green spaces. We drive around in a big work truck, tackling everything from pruning and maintenance to larger projects. It’s physical work that keeps me active, strong, and connected to nature.
I really enjoy the mix of working with people from all over the world in Nice and being outdoors in Stockholm. Both experiences challenge me in different ways and help me grow, both professionally and personally.
For me, summer is all about staying active, having fun, working and training hard, and creating great memories before winter returns.
Looking Ahead to Winter

All of it builds towards winter — and I’m looking forward to bringing that energy back to Verbier.
In the Winters

Felix loves the mountains and is devoted to his skiing. For four years Felix worked as an instructor for a Swedish ski school, and for the last four years, he has worked as an instructor in Verbier, as well as studying. Before that, during an exchange, he competed in freeride skiing with the “Winter Park Big Mountain Team” in Colorado, USA. It is still his dream to ski in the Freeride World Tour. On a day off, you can find Felix up on the mountains early in the morning trying to perfect his technique in the fresh powder before the lifts open. He won’t stop till they close (even at the expense of his lunch).
Felix likes all types of skiing. He is happy doing jumps in the snowpark, bumping down on moguls, grooming through the slopes or skiing on and off the pistes. He also speaks fluent Swedish and English with basic fluency in French.
If you’d like to ski with Felix this winter in Verbier, here is his instructor profile, together with feedback from his happy clients;
