How Jackie Stays Active All Summer
Hi, I’m Jackie, currently based in Belgium, but rarely staying in one place for long! This summer is taking me across France, Italy, Greece, and the Philippines, giving me plenty of opportunities to explore new places, meet new people, and stay active along the way.
Chasing Adventure Through Sport

For me, summer is all about movement and spending as much time outdoors as possible. I love mixing up my training with a variety of sports, including kitesurfing, surfing, Pilates, longboarding, and scuba diving.
Each summer activity brings something different. Kitesurfing and surfing help with balance and coordination, Pilates keeps me strong and mobile, while longboarding and scuba diving offer a great way to explore new environments and challenge myself in different ways. Trying new sports keeps things exciting and helps me stay fit throughout the year.
Staying Busy

Alongside travelling and training, I stay busy with a range of jobs during the summer months.
I work as a sports coach, teach children how to swim, work in a cocktail bar, and help out at festivals. Every role is completely different, which is exactly what I enjoy. Whether I’m coaching, working with children, meeting customers behind a bar, or being part of the atmosphere at a festival, I get to meet people from all walks of life and learn something new every day.
The combination of work, travel, and sport makes every week unique and keeps life interesting.
Making the Most of an Active Summer

What I love most about summer is the freedom that comes with it. It’s a chance to spend time with friends, discover beautiful destinations, and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible.
Whether I’m catching waves, exploring a new city, or relaxing by the sea after a busy day, summer is all about creating unforgettable memories and making the most of every opportunity.
Looking Ahead to Winter

Everything I do during the summer helps prepare me for the winter season ahead. Staying active through summer with a variety of sports keeps me fit, healthy, and ready for the challenges that winter brings.
Just as importantly, summer gives me the opportunity to recharge, spend time with incredible people, and enjoy experiences that keep me motivated throughout the colder months.
By the time winter arrives, I’m refreshed, energised, and ready for another fantastic season in the mountains.
