JT knows his way around a pair of skis, and has coached since he was 15 years old in numerous sports. His ski seasons instructing are complimented by his Sport and Exercise Science degree. He has skied in Japan, New Zealand, France, Canada and Switzerland. In his spare time James loves free-riding, biking, playing guitar and flying his FPV drone. He has a open mindset, excellent patience and a fun style of coaching.
Oskar has been skiing since he was three years old. When he turned 6, he started practicing alpine skiing with his local race club. Once he turned 16 he then started working as a coach for the younger kids in his club. He also worked at the local ski school as an instructor. In his free time Oskar also coached the leader race groups on very high level. Since Oskar’s background is both in race training and in ski schools his teaching is very diverse, and can be personalised according to his clients needs.
Since I have been a race skier all my life it was natural for me to continue doing what i love and also teach other people the beauty of skiing.
In the summers I work as a sailing instructor and sail with my family or friends. Every summer I also go hiking in the Swedish mountains. I prefer to go off trail with a tent, the wilderness and quietness of the Swedish mountains is perfect to relax.
Helena is doing her third season in Verbier as a ski instructor this winter. In the summer, when not in the mountains, she’ll be found on a sailing yacht, sailing across the world.
Helena loves meeting new people and teaching them different techniques, games and exercises to give them the feeling of being safe and comfortable in the snow. Most importantly, she wants to make the experience fun, exciting and, for those who want a little bit more, challenging as well.
She always makes an effort to end the day with everyone having a big smile on their faces.
Skiing has a special place in my heart. I’ve always loved skiing and it has now become one of my biggest passions. One of many reasons I decided to become a ski instructor is so I can be able to share some of that passion and pass that further on.
In the summertime I am to be found on the water sailing my boat together with friends and family. Or you would find me somewhere out in the world exploring new places.
Everything about Verbier is my favorite, but If I must choose one place to ride for the rest of the season it would definitely be around La chaux and up to Mont Fort. Here you also do get the most amazing views.
My favorite restaurant in Verbier is by far Chez Dany, for me it is a little hidden gem in Verbier, and you must ride through a lot of different terrain and wooden forrest to go there, and they do have some of the best food.
I chose Verbier for two reasons. Verbier has something for everyone no matter if you want to challenge yourself, go backcountry skiing or if you just want to take it nice and easy of one of the many great pistes the four valleys has to offer.
Think about going for a walk around the village, especially during Christmas time and get a feeling of the vibe in town. If the sun’s out and the legs are tired, go grab a sun chair at Ice Cube – sit back and relax!
Dag took his first turns at the age of 3. Since then, he has been in love with the sport, both alpine and Cross-country. At 9 years old, he began competing for the local ski club in Sweden where he became a race coach 7 years later. By working with both race skiers and beginners in the ski school, he has experienced all different levels, whether it’s the clients first time on the slopes or they working towards technical perfection.
Skiing has always been an important part of my life. I love everything about it: the surroundings, the people, the thrill. It’s something that I want to share with other people so they also can enjoy the same happiness and joy as well as improve their own skills and develop.
I believe that my time as an instructor in Sweden was very important since I got to teach skiers at many different levels. I am also a very happy person which tends to spread to the people around me. For me, there is never a bad day on the mountain.
When not working as a sailing instructor on the local yacht club, I prefer to sail in the Stockholm archipelago together with my friends and family. I also enjoy travelling and experiencing new places and cultures.
Gustav is a 20 year old Swede that loves skiing and has found his dream job. He has been skiing ever since he could fit in a a pair of ski boots. Gustav is a nice and positive instructor that is very adaptable with his skills. The most important thing for him is that he can contribute to your happiness and satisfaction on the mountain.
I choose to teach snowsports because I love skiing. If you get the chance to do what you love I think you should take that opportunity. Now I get to teach others and have the chance to make someone else fall in love with skiing.
