    Snowboarding is fun. Lets pass it on!

    * What do you do in the summer?
    Ride-work-climb-wait for winter.

    Now, I couldn’t possibly reveal that. But on the mountain, not in the pub 🙂

    Cosy Bar. No competition.

    * Why did you choose Verbier/Zermatt?
    Can’t remember, it was 10 years ago! Something about the freeride, I seem to remember …

    * What’s your top handy hint for anyone visiting Verbier/Zermatt
    Get some time on the indoor slope before you come. Verbier is not the best for beginner snowboarders, no matter what the brochure says, getting the first 3-6 hours out the way in a snowdome will improve your holiday immensely!

    * Why do you choose to teach snowsports?

    * What do you do in the summer?
    Neal says “I wish I had a pound for every time I am asked the question” Neal’s summers are spent having fun on one of his 3 bikes (road bike, mountain bike or motorbike) in the Derbyshire hills or working out in the gym. This is in addition to running his 2 businesses.

    * Favourite part of Verbier/Zermatt to ski/ride
    Neal has 2 favourite areas. One is the Tortin area which has a vast amount of challenges depending on the snow conditions. The other favourite run is Le Rouge at the end of the day. This takes him directly to Le Rouge restaurant terrace for a well deserved apres ski drink.

    * Favourite restaurant or mountain restaurant in Verbier/Zermatt
    Once again Neal has 2 favourites. One being Le Rouge for its great food and atmosphere. The other being La Grange, a typical high quality Swiss restaurant

    To get the most fun out of Verbiers vast skiing area book an instructor from Europeansnowsport. You won’t be disappointed !!

    * Why do you choose to teach snowsports?
    Je n’enseigne pas ….. je suis dans le bureau devant mon ordinateur …. mais si la neige est bonne je vais vite faire 2 ou 3 glisses au lunch time ….

    * What do you do in the summer?
    L’été je travaille aussi pour ES pour le suivi de l’administration. Mais aussi pendant mes congés je fais beaucoup de marche en montagne avec mon chien Rösti et aussi du mountain bike. J’adore aussi les voyages et je profite de mon mois de vacances pour partir en Himalaya ou au Laddakh pour faire du trekking

    * Favourite part of Verbier/Zermatt to ski/ride
    Les montagnes qui entourent Verbier. La région de Bruson, du Mont Rogneux et du Petit Combin paradis de la randonnée en montagne. Par contre vous ne me verrez pas souvent dans les nights clubs….mais volontiers à la fin de la journée dans un Bar pour un apéro !

    Il y a beaucoup de bons Restaurants à Verbier, sur les pistes et en station …. et cela dépend toujours de ce qu’on a envie de manger ….donc ….. à choisir

    * Why did you choose Verbier/Zermatt?
    Je suis née à Genève où j’ai travaillé dans une banque. Je suis venue il y a 35 ans à Verbier pour faire une saison d’hiver et je suis toujours là ! J’ai échappé à la ville et j’ai choisi une autre qualité de vie ici en montagne dans un décor magnifique

    Allez tous essayer le “Karting Extrême” au Centre Sportif !

    * Why do you choose to teach snowsports?
    Well… I used to teach skiing but now work in the office. The reason for the change is that I now have 2 small children and so need to work to a schedule so that my au pair has a nice life too!

    * What do you do in the summer?
    Nothing! Family life. That is, until the bookings start to roll in for the next winter…

    * Favourite part of Verbier/Zermatt to ski/ride
    My 2 year old will be starting on skis this winter so I guess I am going to have to learn to love Les Esserts again.

    * Favourite restaurant or mountain restaurant in Verbier/Zermatt
    L’ecurie; good food and good service, but you need to book.

    * Why did you choose Verbier/Zermatt?
    Driving around one spring looking for the next big idea and arrived in Verbier, I was amazed to find that people would just chat to you on the street.

    The openness and feeling of welcome is unlike any other resort.

    * What’s your top handy hint for anyone visiting Verbier/Zermatt
    This year, take the bus!

    The new road system around Medran while they are doing the redevelopment is going to make driving more difficult than ever.

    * Why do you choose to teach snowsports?
    AFTER SERVING OVER 30 YEARS IN THE ROYAL NAVY I THOUGHT MY WEALTH OF INSTRUCTIONAL AND ORGANISATIONAL KNOWLEDGE COULD BE USED TO TEACH A SPORT I LOVE.
    * What do you do in the summer?
    I BUILD GARDENS, THE HARD LANDSCAPING APSECTS, THAT AN EX ROYAL NAVY FRIEND DESIGNS. I WORK OUTDOORS ALL YEAR ROUND AND HATE BEING INDOORS.
    * Favourite part of Verbier/Zermatt to ski/ride
    THE TREE LINED OFF PISTE ASPECTS OF SAVOLEYRES ON A QUIET MORNING AFTER A DECENT DUMP OF FRESH POWDER.

    THE ROSTBIF IN LE CHABLE WATCHING THE SIX NATIONS RUGBY WITH A PINT OF BITTER AND A FEW FRIENDS.
    * Why did you choose Verbier/Zermatt?
    GREAT LOCATION, EASY TO GET TO WITH A WHOLE LOAD OF RUNS OF VARYING DEGREES OF DIFFICULTY TO SUIT ALL SKIERS.
    * What’s your top handy hint for anyone visiting Verbier/Zermatt
    BOOK A LESSON WITH ES JUST TO REFRESH YOUR MEMORY AND YOUR SKI LEGS. TRY A GROUP LESSON IF YOU ARE A COUPLE OR ON YOUR OWN TO MEET NEW LIKE MINDED PEOPLE – WHO KNOWS WHERE THIS MAY TAKE YOU. LIFE IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL.
