Hola! My name is Sergio and I’ve been involved in skiing my whole life all around the world. Adapting my experience to every place and person I meet makes every day a new story. That is what motivates me to give my best energy and attitude, building the confidence to improve technically and have fun at the same time.

Fun fact: friends call me “Piña”

Toby learned to ski at the age of 4. He enjoys spending time in the mountains both in the winter and summer. He loves hiking and canoeing adventures with advanced outdoor cooking over open fire. Toby has a passion for alpine and cross country skiing both in Sweden were he lives and act as ski school manager in Stockholm largest ski resort as well as an instructor on regular basis during peak weeks in other resorts, preferably in Switzerland around the most beautiful mountains in the alps.

Why did you choose to teach snowsports?

I’ve been skiing since age of 3. Being an active ski instructor at hobby level since 2003. Like to share great days in the winter with guests having their best days of the year. My father was a ski coach and my daughter is now also a ski instructor.

What makes you special as an instructor?

Toby has frequently visited Zermatt/Cervinia with a passion for ski & eat. The soundings around Matterhorn is his favorite spot. He holds a PhD in Physics as well as a Swedish level-4 ski instructor certificate (Int’l IVSI instructor) that loves to spend time and spread skiing joy to his guests.

What do you do in the summers?

Outdoor activities like hiking, canoeing, open water swimming, golf, biking, camping and experiencing new adventure with family and friends.
Passion for good food and outdoor cooking, barbecue on open fire.

Where is your favorite part of Zermatt to ski/ride?

I like the red slopes and nearby off-pistes with cold snow up around the Furggsattel chairlift.

What is your favorite restaurant/mountain restaurant in Zermatt?

I’m a ski & eat foodie and there are plenty of good restaurants in Zermatt/Cervinia.
As a Swede I like to go over to Cervinia visiting “Ullas” (Chalet Etoile).
Chez Vrony afternoon sun at terrace at Alphitta. And ending a great skiing day at Cervo is a privilege.

What top handy tip do you have for anyone visiting Zermatt?

Take the opportunity to visit Italy and Cervinia!

Eva-Lena worked as a PE-teacher in Sweden. She likes outdoor activities and skiing is one of her favorites. In the summer she enjoys kayaking. She also used to work in a skischool at Romme Alpin in Stockholm during the winter season.

What makes you special as an instructor?

I like to take it step by step so everyone feels safe. I listen to customers goal and so we can make a plan together. A positive mindset is super important, as well as having fun while I teach. I like to meet a lot of people and make great fun lessons with individual teaching .

Fiona has been passionate about skiing from a young age, and decided to become a ski instructor to share her love for the sport. She is friendly, confident, and loves teaching all ages and abilities.

Why did you choose Zermatt?

There is no other ski resort quite like it. I love the international vibe and waking up to the most incredible views every morning!

What top handy tip do you have for anyone visiting Zermatt?

Bring as many thermals as possible, and catch the early lifts to explore both Switzerland and Italy in the same day!
