* Why do you choose to teach snowsports?
I have loved skiing since I was little and was a bit lost after completing my degree. I found myself on the slopes in Meribel, did a bit of teaching in Italy, and discovered I was pretty good at it. And I haven’t looked back since, what could be better than sharing my knowledge and passion for skiing with all different types of people in what can possibly be the most beautiful office in the world!
* What do you do in the summer?
I do a mixture of making jewellery when I am not distracted with being outdoors, and working on super yachts in the Med. Stewardessing on super yachts sounds glamorous but it is long hours and tough being stuck indoors…hence why the winters couldn’t come quick enough!
* Favourite part of Verbier/Zermatt to ski/ride
o tough one, Verbier is full of fantastic off piste riding, rock garden and the couloirs under the funispace are great, as is front side of Mont Gele. This season I want to do Bec des Rosses, which I didn’t get round to doing last season, regrettably.
* Favourite restaurant or mountain restaurant in Verbier/Zermatt
Lamb salad at Sonalon, real treat!
* Why did you choose Verbier/Zermatt?
Because it seemed like the perfect training ground, mixture of good skiing, great people, lively resort, and being able to train and teach with ES.
* What’s your top handy hint for anyone visiting Verbier/Zermatt
Bring decent skis, a helmet and lots of energy!
