Zermatt Snow Report. 4/3/09
Snow, Snow, Snow!!
Thursday:
Wednesday night is expected to bring a big dumping of snow after pretty interesting weather today. Continued fresh winds will make the temperature feel cold. The temperature on Thursday will drop further getting as low as -20’C at the top lift stations so the fresh snow conditions should be great.
Friday:
Conditions should be much of the same as yesterday with more snow showers, so there should be some freshies to be found. However the wind speeds may be picking up so put on your wind stopper before leaving the house.
Saturday:
The morning should bring a little more snow but clearing later with the possibility of a blue bird afternoon. Back to the Zermatt we know and love! Don’t be fooled by the sunshine the temperature will still be cold and reasonable wind speeds so keep your layers on.

Monday:
Following on from the lovely and welcome snow fall on Sunday, expect light snow showers throughout both day and night. Temperatures will be around -11’C with mainly fresh feeling winds, -18’C windchill. Visibility probably wont be the best, but with the fresh covering on the slopes it’d be a crime not to get out there and make the most of it!!
Tuesday:
Possible snow showers again but lighter and more infrequent. Stronger winds during the day, 30km/h, so be prepared for wind blown conditions up the hill. Temperatures will feel similar to Monday, but a dramatic drop is expected during the night…so if you’re venturing out for apres wrap up warm!!!!
