Matilda is a happy and energetic Swedish girl who loves to be on the slope and around other people. She has skied since a very young age and spent her whole youth training and competing in alpine skiing. Since it was time for Matilda to end her own career she grew a big passion for teaching everything she knows to children, which have resulted in 4 seasons as an alpine skiing instructor.
Why did you choose to teach snowsports?
I love skiing and it is my favorite type of activity to do. Being able to combine my passion in life together with work is a dream come true. It is an honor to be someone the students, and especially kids look up to and to see them improve.
What makes you special as an instructor?
I am a very caring person who is good at reading people. I am adaptable and have a good eye on which type of teaching each individual needs.
What do you do in the summers?
I spend my whole summers in Stockholm’s archipelago sailing and driving boats. I love being on the water and in the nature.
Where is your favourite part of your resort to ski/ride?
My favorite part to ski at in Verbier is the pists around Mont Fort or a good powder day in Savoleyres.
What is your favorite restaurant/mountain restaurant in Verbier?
I love a good lunch at Cabane Mont Fort but also the chicken in a basket at Al-Capone 🙂
Why did you choose Verbier?
I usually spend 1-2 weeks every year in Verbier together with my family and love it. I love Verbier as a skiing resort but also the village.
What top handy tip do you have for anyone visiting Verbier?
Check out all the resorts in Les 4 vallées! A very fun day activity to go as far as you can in the resort.
