Helena is doing her second season in Verbier as a ski instructor this winter. In the summer, when not in the mountains, she’ll be found in a sailing yacht, sailing across the world.
Helena loves meeting new people and teaching them different techniques, games and exercises to keep them safe and comfortable in the snow. Most importantly, she wants to make the experience fun, exciting and, for those who want a little bit more, challenging as well. She always makes an effort to end the day with everyone having a big smile on their faces.
What makes you special as an instructor?
What makes me special is that no matter the experience of my client, I will always do my best to customizing the lesson according to my clients needs and wishes, and of course making it fun!
What is your favorite restaurant in Verbier?
My favorite restaurant in Verbier is by far Chez Dany, for me it is a little hidden gem in Verbier, and you must ride trough a lot of different terrain and wooden forest to get there, and they have some of the best food on the mountain.
What top tip do you have for anyone visiting Verbier?
Think about going for a walk around the village, especially during Christmas time and get a feeling of the vibe in town. If the sun’s out and the legs are tired, go grab a sun chair at Ice Cube – sit back and relax!
