Charlotte Nyström has been skiing for as long as she can remember. Before coming to Verbier she worked for six years at a ski school in Sweden. On her days off you’ll find her carving in the slopes and during the summers she sails and plays golf. Age or ability does not matter, her enthusiasm and friendly nature will help improve your skiing whilst having fun!
Why did you choose to teach snowsports?
I choose to teach skiing because I want everyone to be able to experience the freeness of hitting the perfect carve in a fresh slope. Too be apart of a community of happy people. To teach people how to ski is also not the easiest thing, I love a challenge!
What makes you special as an instructor?
I think my ability to really understand peoples wants and needs makes me a good instructor. I’ve worked with a lot of different people in various ages, in various sports. It has given me perspective and experience I am very greatful for.
What do you do in the summers?
When I’m not studying psychology and behavioral science and the summer rolls around I sail. I’ve worked as an sailing instructor at the Royal Swedish Yacht Club. The children are between eight and fifteen years old. I love it and I’m having so much fun.
Where is your favourite part of your resort to ski/ride?
Mont Fort when with friends. I enjoy the back side of Savoleyres when I’m teaching kids.
What is your favorite restaurant/mountain restaurant in Verbier?
Cabane de Mont Fort when on the mountain and a classic pizza at Fer a Cheval after a day in the slops.
It might be the swede in me but I also really enjoy Le Shed.
Why did you choose Verbier?
I’ve always loved coming to Verbier with my family growing up so it felt like a obvious choice. I love the relaxed feeling in the village and the evidently great skiing.
