Lasse is a relaxed ski instructor from the Netherlands. This will be his second season with European Snowsport in Zermatt. He can guide you through your very first turns and take you down your millionth run. Besides being a ski instructor, Lasse loves to go for hikes, runs or really anything that is outdoors.
Why did you choose to teach snowsports?
I chose to teach skiing because ever since I was 4 I have been in love with skiing and the mountains. I love passing on my enthusiasm for skiing to others. To combine this and work on the mountain is really a dream come true!
What makes you special as an instructor?
I have a lot of patience and I help my clients go step by step onto more challenging terrain. This way I have seen so many people ski slopes they never thought they could do!
What do you do in the summers?
I attend university and I work in a restaurant.
Where is you favourite part of Zermatt to ski/ride?
Cervinia
What is your favourite restaurant/mountain restaurant in Zermatt?
In Zermatt, it is Adler Hitta; in Italy, it is Chalet Etoile!
Why did you choose Zermatt?
In my opinion, it is the best ski resort in Europe.

Lasse looked taught both my children aged 5 and 7. Both children adored Lasse!
Observing from afar, he worked so hard skiing closely by them and never taking his eyes off them.
He got to know the children well and asked them lots of questions. He was very caring. They also thought he was very funny!
He kept in contact with at all times and I knew the children were safe. This was so reassuring. His communication was excellent.
My children have wonderful memories and they became confident skiers after 5 days with Lasse. I don’t know how another teacher will compare this winter!

Lasse was my ski instructor and it was my first time going skiing with my mom . We came all the way from Saudi to atleast see the snow , with no hope that we will learn because of how difficult it is . Our amazing instructor taught us how to ski in a day .
