Kerstin has worked with children, teens and adults for 25 years – in choirs! She has been skiing since she was nine and the last three years she has worked as an ski instructor in Sweden and loves to see people of all ages become more relaxed and happier on skis.
Kerstin enjoy teaching all ages, from beginners to you who want to test the red slopes for the first time. She knows which slope you will love, the best spots to take photos of you and Matterhorn and the nicest restaurants in the mountains.
Why did you choose to teach snowsports?
I love to see people grow and get happy and skiing is the most lovely ways to enjoy snow and beautiful landscape, so I want to combine helping people get happier and let them enjoy the snowy mountains.
What makes you special as an instructor?
I got a lot of experience working with people of all ages and are interested in the person that stands in front of me, what that specific person wants to get out of the skiing. And I´m always happy when I´m on snow!
What do you do in the summers?
I run and bike a lot in the forest and I love watersports!
Where is your favorite part of Zermatt to ski/ride?
It´s hard to choose just one part because wherever you are in the system it´s good slopes and amazing views. But if I must choose I would say slope number 52, just below Matterhorn. It´s a magical run!
What is your favorite restaurant/mountain restaurant in Zermatt?
Fluhalp! I can´t get enough of their Rösti and the view of Matterhorn while I´m eating lunch.
Why did you choose Zermatt?
I´ve been around in the Alps and skied a lot in different places, but nothing compares to Zermatt. Excellent slopes and lifts, amazing views and good food. You can get so high up and ski so much. And almost every day up in the slopes the sun shines on you!
What top handy tip do you have for anyone visiting Zermatt?
Take your time and enjoy every single minute! Stop sometimes in the slope and just look over the amazing landscape you stand in. It will be one of the most beautiful moments in your life!
