Why did you choose to teach snowsports?
I had a long standing passion for teaching and sharing information and knowledge with others. I thrive best when outside as well, exploring new places. I became an instructor so that I can share with people the beauty of the mountains and the freedom and adrenaline of skiing.
What makes you special as an instructor?
My empathy and patience, as well as my passion for the mountains.
What do you do in the summers?
I still love to ski where possible either on dry slopes or down in the souther hemisphere. Otherwise I enjoy cycling, reading, baking and yoga, travelling to new places and eating tasty food.
Where is your favorite part of Verbier to ski/ride?
Savoleyres – holds the sunshine most of the day, many pistes to choose from and easy fresh powder.
What is your favorite restaurant/mountain restaurant in Verbier?
Cabane Mont Fort – the views are very beautiful.
Why did you choose Verbier?
I love ski touring and there is lots of routes around to explore, plus it is good proximity to France and Italy.
What top handy tip do you have for anyone visiting Verbier?
Wear shoes with a good grip, there is nothing worse than slipping over on ice because of poor footwear.

Emma was without a doubt one of the best instructors we have ever had. She really helped me and my family improve our skiing technique by observing what we were doing and providing tips after ever ski run. She has a great understanding of the terrain and will really make the most of your time skiing. Unfortunately, my shins became bruised on our first day of skiing, but Emma was amazing and immediately knew what the problem was and how to help me. She made sure that I still had a fun and pain free experience throughout the rest of our ski trip. She was such a fun and lovely instructor to ski with and I think that skiing with her was the best ski experience my family has had so far. We will definitely be requesting her as our ski instructor on future trips!

Emma was super helpful. Not only she was a great instructor and very patient with me and my 7 year old, but she also helped us with other things while we were in Verbier. Emma is very flexible and understanding of the situation. Our plans changed during the holiday as my daughter had a shoulder fracture and Emma was very accommodating and helpful. She has a very nice persona about her which makes you feel comfortable right away. Thank you Emma!

Myself and my brother had Emma for two afternoons whilst we were in Verbier, she was so much fun and such a great instructor, she really helped us both with our technique and our confidence was definitely improved over the two days. Emma knew the mountains inside and out which was so handy to be able to help us understand the runs we were taking. I would recommend Emma for anyone beginner, intermediate as she was amazing. I’d be happy if I could have her with us the next times we are in Verbier or nearby mountains. Thanks for a great time Emma.

Wow Emma was awesome. Amazing instructor who has given our two children aged 6 and 8 a love for skiing in one week which is no mean feat. As first timers we weren’t sure if they we were going to enjoy it but we were shocked at how much they improved and enjoyed it by end of day 2. She gave me some really useful skiing tips too, amazing knowledge of the resort, patience, empathic and all round super star! Felt very lucky to have had her for the week.
