23/02/09 Weather Report Verbier
Monday:
Following on from the lovely and welcome snow fall on Sunday, expect light snow showers throughout both day and night. Temperatures will be around -11’C with mainly fresh feeling winds, -18’C windchill. Visibility probably wont be the best, but with the fresh covering on the slopes it’d be a crime not to get out there and make the most of it!!
Tuesday:
Possible snow showers again but lighter and more infrequent. Stronger winds during the day, 30km/h, so be prepared for wind blown conditions up the hill. Temperatures will feel similar to Monday, but a dramatic drop is expected during the night…so if you’re venturing out for apres wrap up warm!!!!
22/02/09 Weather Report Zermatt.
Yet More Snow for Zermatt!!
Monday:
Today we received another 5+cm of fresh snow. Tomorrow should be great skiing conditions with continued snow showers throughout the day and night. Temperatures will remain cold staying below freezing in town and as low as -17’C at the top lift stations.
Tuesday:
The morning will be much of the same with continued snow showers. The afternoon appears to be brightening up so remember a change of lenses for your goggles if you want to be able to see the fresh Pow. Tuesday night will be Baltic dropping to -11’C in town so wrap up warm when you head out on the town.
Wednesday:
Today should be a stunner of a blue bird day remaining clear all day. The wind will drop and the temperatures will rise so a great day for all even you fair weather skiers! Make sure you hit the slopes early as conditions like this are not to be missed.
20/02/09 Weather Report Verbier
Friday:
Some clouds to start and a possilbilty of a dusting of new snow from the afternoon. Compared to recent days temperatures will be mild, lows of -8’C and winds generally light.
Saturday;
Continued light snow showers and cloud coverage, although the sun will try its best to break through. Winds should start to pick up a bit and so it will feel colder, windchill -15’C.
16/02/09 Weather Report Verbier
Busy, Busy, Busy!!!
Monday:
Following on from the weekends blue skies expect a day with greater cloud coverage and the odd snow shower. Visibility should improve throughout the day with a clearer, sunnier afternoon. Moderate winds and minimum temperatures -10’C.
Tuesday:
A brighter start to the day but still with possibilities of snow showers, most snow fall expected by the afternoon. Winds will increase during the day, fresh winds from the north by the night accompanied with a drastic drop in temperatures, windchill -28’C.
13/02/09 Weather Report Zermatt.
A complete mixed bag!!
Sunday:
After the second sunny day in a row tomorrow appears to be a mixed bag. The morning should be a stunner so get on the slopes early! The afternoon may start to cloud over with the evening bringing a sprinkling of new snow. Be aware it will remain cold, town will not rise above -4 ‘C and the top lift stations will drop as low as -23’C so layer up!
Monday:
Will be much of the same as Sunday. The morning may bring a little more light snow but start to brighten up in the afternoon with the possibility of more snow showers. Light winds will help but it will still be cold especially in the evening when it will drop as low as -9 ‘C in town.
Tuesday:
Expect more snow! Forecasts predict light snow showers all day! Make sure you take your bandana as the winds appear to be picking up and the temperature shows no signs of rising!
