* Why do you choose to teach snowsports?
I haven’t found another job that I would love more then teaching skiing and snowboarding.
* What do you do in the summer?
I teach skiing and snowboarding and babysit. In Zermatt you can ski every day of the year and I wish more people would realize how amazing summer skiing in Zermatt is. Every day is like the best spring day you have on your easter holiday.
* Favourite part of Verbier/Zermatt to ski/ride
I’ve had my best run on Garten after a massive dump of snow on 2008. For training I love Furggsattel and Tuftern. Most people don’t like Furgg to Furri black run as it can be a bit of a pain in the afternoon but I love bombing it down first thing in the morning when nobody’s on it. It’s like a ski cross course with all the narrow curves.
* Favourite restaurant or mountain restaurant in Verbier/Zermatt
Hard to choose just one in Zermatt, there are so many fantastic mountain restaurants but I suppose my ultimate favorite is Fluhalp. They’ve got really tasty food and an interesting menu, live music on most days, a stunning view, and just all in all a great atmosphere.
* Why did you choose Verbier/Zermatt?
I originally chose Zermatt because I had friends working there but I decided to stay there because of the combination of the friendly welcoming atmosphere, the beauty of the village and it’s surroundings, and the good skiing.
* What’s your top handy hint for anyone visiting Verbier/Zermatt
It’s a car free village so don’t follow your gps and drive to the door of your hotel. You might end up with a big fine, couple of angry locals yelling at you and quite a few amused bystanders.
