* Why do you choose to teach snowsports?
Having been fortunate enough to start skiing at the age of nine, I have always been passionate about skiing and the mountains. My mission now, through teaching, is to impart my enthusiasm and enjoyment of the sport to others, hoping that they will derive as much pleasure from skiing over the years as I have.
* What do you do in the summer?
Unashamedly enjoy the pleasures of living in Cornwall with my wife and family.
* Favourite part of Verbier/Zermatt to ski/ride
Where do you start! There are so many different areas to explore, types of terrain to challenge you, views to admire. You choose the type of skiing you would like to do, or learn to do, and I will find the most suitable place to take you.
* Favourite restaurant or mountain restaurant in Verbier/Zermatt
I’m afraid to say, that on a purely personal level, my favourite lunch is a Mars Bar on the chair lift between runs!! However, there are restaurants to suit every tastes, from quick snack, to long, relaxing, luxurious meals with easy access back to the resort if you happen to have overindulged just a tad!!
* Why did you choose Verbier/Zermatt?
The beauty of the surrounding mountains, the vast variety of different ski terrains, the buzz of the village itself and the friendliness and welcome of the local workers in the resort. Everybody has their favourite resort, Verbier is mine!
* What’s your top handy hint for anyone visiting Verbier/Zermatt
If you have never skied before, find a friendly instructor on day one who will teach you in your own language and allow you to progress at your own pace and have fun! If you are more experienced, find your ski legs, work out what you would like to do better and find an instructor for one initial lesson so you can work out together how to achieve your goal.
