Why did you choose to teach snowsports?
I chose to teach snowsports to stay close to the mountains and to the community. Being outdoors, doing sports makes me truly happy and I am grateful that I can bring my enthusiasm to other people by teaching. I like meeting people and helping them improve in whatever they like.
What makes you special as an instructor?
I am a patient communicator especially when it comes to learning process. With my experience working with kids, I can understand what their needs are and adjust the lesson accordingly. Studying Art Restoration also strengthens my attention to detail, which helps me observe the technique closely and give helpful feedback.
What do you do in the summers?
Over the past few summers I have tried to connect work with my passion for travelling. I have worked as a camp counsellor both in my home country, the Czech Republic, and abroad in Switzerland and China. As a student of Art Restoration I also completed several internships.
Where is your favourite part of Zermatt to ski/ride?
Personally I enjoy the variety that ski resorts offer and love choosing different terrain depending on the day. I would say my favourite might be red run moguls, as I enjoy more technical terrain.
Why did you choose Zermatt?
Zermatt is really special to me because of its beautiful views of Matterhorn. I was also tempted by its massive ski area with a wide variety. Apart from that, I am already familiar with travelling to the nearby resort of Saas-Fee, which quickly became one of my favourite places
What top handy tip do you have for anyone visiting Zermatt?
Admire the beauty of the glacier and enjoy every moment they experience here.
