Stuart hails from Glasgow, Scotland and started skiing at a young age. His great interest in, knowledge of and talent for skiing has led him to carve out a career in instructing. Instructing has taken him many places including France, Austria, Italy, Andorra and now Verbier. Stuart loves to teach all ages and abilities, including adaptive skiers.
Living and working in Verbier for the past seven years, all year round, has given Stuart a real knowledge of this ski resort and the surrounding areas. When Stuart is not skiing, he can be found enjoying the local life, skating, golfing, and following Glasgow Rangers.

«My family and I just got back from a magical week in Verbier. Whilst my wife and daughter skied with Jonatan (separate review) Stuart Robinson looked after me, as he did last year. Yet again he managed to take me from a stumbling wreck to a fairly passable parallel skier with occasional bouts of dreamy linked-up carved turns on the quieter slopes. Stuart goes the extra mile with patience, persuasion and always with a great sense of humour. Terrific experience skiing as a family of 5 with Stuart. Super enjoyable person, great skier and instructor. Stuart was able to manage our group very well despite some disparities in skiing levels. He made some great calls re: where to ski in light of weather / crowds, which turned out really well. An all-round very pleasant experience.

Stuart was an excellent teacher. He really focused on our teenage son’s technique for our all day lesson. He gave great tips and we went down fantastic slopes avoiding the crowds . He took the time to explain some technical aspects to our son which really enhanced his confidence. We really enjoyed talking to Stuart over the day and we picked up great tips about the resort. We would definitely recommend him .

Stuart was a fantastic instructor from outset.
I went from a complete beginner to skiing down some steep black and red runs after 4 days. I initially started with two lessons and extended by a further two because of the progress I was seeing.
I couldn’t recommend Stuart more as an instructor who strikes a perfect balance in keeping the lessons fun, engaging and pushing you to progress further.

As a total beginner I really enjoyed having Stuart as my coach. He struck a perfect balance between allowing me to go at my own pace and pushing me to progress. I highly recommend him as a coach to anyone looking for a super experienced ski coach who will watch you closely and address your weak points. I always found learning to ski an intimidating undertaking but working with Stu really made it fun and enjoyable.

Stuart got me back on the slopes after a devastating Parkinson’s diagnosis 7 years ago. Using patience, skill and his great sense of humour Stuart, an Adaptive Skiing Instructor, coaxed me onto the nursery slope at Les Esserts and after an amazing 3 days I was back enjoying the off-piste areas of Savoleyre.
