Why did you choose to become a ski instructor?
Growing up, my family and I would go on ski holidays and it would be the highlight of my year. Having an amazing instructor for the week made the holiday even better. Skiing with someone who is passionate and encouraging was inspirational, I want to make people feel the same.
Where is your favourite part of Zermatt to ski?
My favourite area to ski in Zermatt is up on the Klein side. The glacier means the snow is always great and there is a wide variety of runs: from cruisey blues, to more challenging blacks and even some itineraries.
What do you do in the summer?
In the Summer I am back in England catching up and spending time with friends and family. I like to keep my fitness up for the following winter so I spend a lot of time in the gym getting ready to be back on skis!
What is your favourite restaurant in Zermatt?
My favourite restaurant on the hill is Alphitta. The food is great, the service is great and the staff are very accommodating. There is also a sun terrace with an incredible view of the Matterhorn and often there is live music which adds to the ambience.
Why did you pick Zermatt?
My grandad has been visiting Zermatt for over 60 years, so I have heard amazing things about the resort. I visited Zermatt on a ski trip and I fell in love with it myself. From then I knew I wanted to work as an instructor here one day!
What handy tip do you have for anyone visiting Zermatt?
If you have a day where the weather isn’t great and you don’t have much visibility, head up to the Sunegga ski area where you can ski through trees. This will give you a guide line to ski next to and will create more definition in the snow!
