Julian Griffiths

ES Founder, Julian Griffiths, one of the youngest Britons to fully qualify as a ski instructor and one of only a few to also qualify as a Swiss BBT (Federal Diploma).  For ten years Julian worked as an examiner  of instructors and  later also the marketing director for the British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI).  Julian  moved to Verbier in 2002 and set up ES to fill a gap in the market for a high quality customer focused ski school. Julian, his Partner Laura, and their two children live near Verbier.

Sandy Maclaren

ES’s commercial director Sandy is fully qualified with Swiss Snowsports and the British association of ski instructors. Sandy has been with ES for ten years and for the last four has been commercial Director. A keen footballer, hockey player, tennis coach and internationally competitive skier, Sandy grew up in Manchester before working around the world as a ski instructor, eventually settling in Verbier.

Laura Shadbolt

Laura began her career as a lawyer working in commercial litigation in Sydney and then London. Following this she founded a small luxury chalet operator in Meribel, then a concierge business in London. She moved to Verbier in 2002 where she first taught skiing, and now runs the sales and bookings side of ES.
