Mathieu lives through the elements. Skiing is what fuels him- ‘if I had to feed myself, it would be carving in the snow and fresh mountain air.’ Sharing this passion is what truly motivates him. Over four seasons, he has developed his skiing and teaching across France, Austria and now Switzerland. Mathieu works as a sailing instructor in summer and he brings the same energy to his teaching- offering either fun, relaxed learning or focused technical improvement depending on what you’re looking for.
Why did you choose to teach snowsports?
I chose snowsports because working in an international ski school allows us to meet people of different cultures and to use a wide variety of teaching and skiing techniques. There is never just one way of teaching, so having many tools and approaches help us to adapt to every guest.
What makes you special as an instructor?
As an outdoors sport instructor, I really wat my guest to experience an adventure. I love to organise the best routes and let you explore the unknown.
What do you do in the summers?
During the summer, I live in French Britany. I teach sailing to guests of all ages. My favourite is wingfoiling, but I also surf and paraglide along the coastline.
Why did you choose Zermatt?
Zermatt is the place to be for adventures, mountaineering and to meet other freeminds.
