Thomas is an outgoing and adventurous South African who has spent every ski season in Zermatt since he was two, making the mountains his second home. He thrives on adrenaline and challenge, whether it skiing through fresh snow, hitting tricks in the park, or continuously pushing himself to improve. Beyond his own passion for skiing, he loves sharing it with others through teaching, helping beginners build confidence and guiding more experienced skiers to the next level. For Thomas, skiing is more than just a sport—it’s about freedom, excitement, and the joy of connecting with people on the slopes.
Why did you choose to teach snowsport?
I chose to teach skiing because my love for the sport started from a very young age. My best memories have come from the slopes and I aspire to help others have the same.
What makes you special as an instructor?
I am fun, outgoing and I am always eager for a challenge.
What do you do in the summers?
As it is winter in South Africa, I set up and run corporate events. I am also an automation technician, I go the gym, play padel and party.

Why did you choose Zermatt?
My family has been taking me to Zermatt every season since I was nine months old, so it has become my second home.
