Lisa Heimerl

Lisa Heimerl - ski instructor in Zermatt
Lisa started skiing at the age of three and has loved the sport since then. Growing up in the Bavarian Alps she was lucky enough to live only a few minutes away from the slopes, where she trained and raced with her local ski club. Eventually she started working there as a coach, sharing her passion for skiing with the local kids.

After graduating from University she decided to become a full time ski instructor, which led her to different resorts in Switzerland before she came to Zermatt – where she’ll most likely stay.

Whenever she is not teaching, you’ll see her in the snowpark or on the slopes filming with her fellow instructors for ES social media. If you’re skiing with her you always have your personal photographer with you, helping you find the best photo spots on the mountain or creating a video for you to remember your skiing holiday in Zermatt.

Lisa teaches in English, German and Spanish.

Why did you choose teaching?

The only thing I enjoy more than skiing is teaching others how to ski!

Where is your favourite part of Zermatt to ski?

I like skiing at the glacier, the snow is always good up there and the snowpark is there as well

What do you do in the summer?

I work in the film industry as camera assistant, making sure Netflix never runs out of movies

What is your favourite restaurant in Zermatt?

I love the food at Aroleid and the service there is also great

Why did you pick Zermatt?

It has more slopes than you can ski in a day + the snowpark is amazing

What handy tip do you have for anyone visiting Zermatt

Go skiing, even if the weather isn’t good! It might clear up and you’ll find yourself on empty slopes with the best snow
